Communications Specialist
Schedule: Minimum of 12 hours per week
Job Description:
Creative Entourage is a rapidly expanding marketing, strategic communications and graphic design agency with offices in St. Louis’ Cortex district. Our boutique agency caters to a variety of public sector, healthcare and B2B/B2C clients.
We are seeking a part-time, contract communications specialist to assist us with our growing client base by building awareness of Creative Entourage and its clients through new and traditional communications methods.
Duties:
- Content Development
- Develop and write content for:
- Websites
- Blogs
- Marketing materials
- Social media
- Direct mail
- News releases and media pitches
- Upload written and visual content to client websites, mainly WordPress.
- Create email newsletters using Mailchimp or similar email marketing software.
- Copy editing
- Proofreading
- Quick editing
- Social Media Strategy and Management
- Develop written content for organic and paid posts on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Develop written content to accompany YouTube videos.
- Monitor and manage client Facebook and Instagram accounts.
- Assist with the development of social media strategy for public sector and B2B clients.
- Compile monthly status reports of social media performance.
- Brand Development
- Assist with development and implementation of creative communications and marketing plans and programs.
Qualifications
- Experience and Education:
- Minimum of two to four years experience in a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, strategic communications, public relations or related field.
- Must possess:
- A professional demeanor
- Strong time management skills
- Solid writing skills
- Consistent attention to detail with high expectations for quality
- Experience with client relations
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality when needed
- Ability to:
- Manage multiple projects and work assignments
- Work independently and problem solve
- Prioritize while on deadline
- Reason clearly and handle problem resolution professionally
- Interface professionally with clients and co-workers
- Work in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment
- Work independently and efficiently
- Adapt to new technology and platforms
- Familiarity with the following:
- AP Style
- Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
- Social media platforms, specifically Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, as well as social media scheduling, analytics and reporting tools
- Canva
- Mailchimp
- Must have:
- Access to up-to-date technology and a reliable internet connection.
- Reliable transportation to get to and from meetings within the St. Louis area.
- A flexible schedule.
- Ability to track time for invoicing.
This is a contract position.
